Description
This early autumn, Tsim Sha Tsui Mira Place will join hands with Tottori Prefecture to present the 'Direct Food and Play Festival from Tottori', offering a large-scale official 'Best of Tottori' experience to Hong Kong fans of Japan from now until 7 October, allowing them to experience the local food, play, shopping and culture of Tottori before their next visit there! As a hub for nearly 30 Japanese brands, Mira Place has hosted autumn festival cultural experiences for five consecutive years, and this year it is collaborating with Tottori Prefecture for the first time to transform the mall's atrium into Tottori Prefecture, perfectly presenting Tottori's specialty foods, products, and popular anime character photo spots!
The Food and Play Festival features 'The Four Bests':
1. Best Food! Immersive Tottori Street Food Experience: Indulge in Local Specialties on Weekends
From now until 7 October, every weekend, the atrium of Mira Place will be transformed into a Japanese-style 'Tottori Gourmet Alley by Kyushubanchō', recreating the lively atmosphere of Tottori's streets; the venue will feature Japanese decorations, traditional lanterns, and wooden stalls, evoking the festive atmosphere of Japanese festivals, allowing customers to feel as if they are in a Tottori festival stall. The Gourmet Alley will offer a selection of Tottori's soul foods, including sweet and smooth milk pudding made with Tottori's famous '20th Century Pear', customisable Daisen cream rolls, and flavourful cheese crab rice korokke, among others. Take a short trip on the weekend, savour the soul foods of Tottori, and treat yourself!
2. Best Buys! 'Direct from Tottori' Zone: Exclusive Selection of Tottori Food, Groceries, and Anime Merchandise to Cure Homesickness for Japan
Mira Place has collaborated with Tottori Prefecture's most representative and popular milk brand - Daisen Milk and Japanese ingredient and grocery direct delivery brand Nine Seafood to launch the 'Direct from Tottori' zone, offering exclusive Tottori delicacies and lifestyle products to satisfy the 'homesickness' of Hong Kong's Japanese culture enthusiasts. 3. Best Photo Spots! Pilgrimage to the Birthplace of Classic Anime Characters and Board the Giant Tottori Fishing Boat: Immerse Yourself in the Dual Charm of Anime and Fishing Port
Tottori Prefecture is known as the 'Manga Kingdom' and is the hometown of manga artists Gosho Aoyama, the creator of the popular anime series 'Detective Conan', and Shigeru Mizuki, the creator of 'GeGeGe no Kitarō'. The vast manga fans will make a pilgrimage to the birthplace of these manga masters. This time, 'Mira Place x Tottori Prefecture' has infused the atrium with two classic anime elements, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the fantasy atmosphere of manga and relive their childhood memories! Hokuei-cho is the hometown of Gosho Aoyama, and the nearby Yurahama Station is affectionately known as 'Conan Station'. 'Mira Place x Tottori Prefecture' has brought the station to the atrium, waiting for fans to transform into members of the Detective Conan Junior Detective Team, join forces to unravel the mystery, and uncover the truth! On the other hand, at the GeGeGe no Kitarō photo spot, the mall has also brought the 'Mizuki Shigeru Road', a must-visit photo spot in Tottori Prefecture, to the atrium, with the protagonists 'Kitarō' and 'Eyeball Father' in residence, instantly evoking the thick atmosphere of the 'GeGeGe no Kitarō' manga, as if stepping into a mysterious world of monsters.
